1. The three Readers should process into the church with the priest and the Servers – one of them holding the Book and placing it onto the lectionary – then sit on the bench on the left.

2. At the end of EACH reading there should be a period of silence for meditation.

3. At the end of all the readings the ORGANIST should wait for the meditation pause before starting the Gospel Acclamation.

4. When the organist starts the Gospel Acclamation the three Readers should leave the Sanctuary to take their seats in the church. The congregation will acclaim the Gospel together.

5. BIDDING PRAYERS. The third Reader on the rota list will lead these. If they wish to use the book of Bidding Prayers, they should use no more than three of them before leading their own personal prayers. These should start with the words: “We pray for … (the Mass intention from the Bulletin) … for whom this Mass is offered.”
